With over half a century of experience, FAS SpA has established a comprehensive technical and engineering practice for fire protection systems and equipment. Qualified personnel, updated software, and compliance with international standards including NFPA, FM, VdS, and LPC.
360° fire protection engineering
The research and development of new products, alongside the execution of turnkey fire protection systems, require a highly capable technical infrastructure. FAS SpA features a technical division staffed by qualified personnel with extensive industry experience, capable of meeting any client requirement.
A high level of internal organization and the use of advanced digital tools enable FAS to operate at the cutting edge of fire protection component and system design, ranging from large industrial complexes to bespoke custom solutions.
The three engineering phases
From the analysis of client requirements to final commissioning, the FAS Engineering Department manages every project through three distinct and integrated phases.

01 Pre-EngineeringAnalysis and Feasibility
Understanding the client's needs before designing the solution.
- System feasibility studies, including functional logic verification and system philosophy
- Interpreting client needs and translating them into technical requirements
- Cost estimation to support the Sales Department
- Basic engineering for tender specifications, with graphical representation of the expected outcome

02 EngineeringDetailed Engineering
From theory to executive drawings, every detail is engineered for manufacturing.
- Preliminary meetings with the client for activity coordination
- Kick-off meetings for the acquisition of project documentation
- Drafting of system functional diagrams
- Detailed engineering for mechanical and electrical systems: piping layouts, installation details, supports, fabrication sketches, and comprehensive material lists

03 Post-EngineeringSite and Commissioning
Engineering doesn't end at the desk: we oversee the system through to its commissioning.
- On-site technical assistance during execution and/or construction management
- Coordination with the client's Construction Management
- Field surveys for drafting system "As-built" documentation
- Assistance with system commissioning
- Assistance with final testing
Software, standards, and certifications
FAS SpA develops its projects using the most up-to-date and suitable software systems. National and international reference standards — NFPA, FM, VdS, LPC — are continuously monitored to support the evolving applications of the most widely used systems.

FAS provides engineering for civil and industrial applications across all major fire protection systems used worldwide:
- Sprinkler systems
- Water deluge systems
- Foam sprinkler and deluge systems

International certifications
FAS is qualified to draft technical files for pressure equipment, foam units, dry chemical units, pumping stations, and other materials, in accordance with major international standards:
- Manufacturing in accordance with ASME "U" Stamp
- Manufacturing in accordance with PED module "G"
- Certifications with local authorities in various countries (e.g., ARH / DPP Algeria)
- Manufacturing according to client specifications
